Calling All Men!! Join the Fight of Faith!!
We enter our third year of That Man Is You (TMIY) on September 8. All men are invited to join us no matter what your previous involvement has been. During our first two years, we have learned what it takes to be a man of God and a spiritual leader in our time. We have faced many challenges over the past 18 months which we have fought through together to continue our journey to be men of God. Now we are able to come back together, meeting in person to lift one another up.
As we emerge from the pandemic, we have a challenge as men and as church to bring faith back to the forefront of people’s lives. Our society has been under attack for some time and many of the events of the past two years have accelerated the decay we are confronted with. The “Fight of Faith” equips and enables men to engage in the spiritual battle raging in our day. As our country is confronted by so many challenges to our religious and Catholic values, it is more important than ever that we stand up as Catholic men for our families, our faith communities, and our country at large. To do so, we need to support each other to grow in our knowledge of our faith, the strength of our conviction, and our love for God.
The “Fight of Faith” series helps us to uncover the ultimate truth that sheds light on all things: God’s own identity. We have an outstanding array of speakers who will guide us to confidence in our ability to engage in lives of service to a calling greater than ourselves. Fight the good fight of faith to win an imperishable crown of glory. Watch the promotional video and then get ready to join us!
Our TMIY group meets every Wednesday morning from 6:00-7:15 AM for thirteen weeks in the fall. Our next session will begin in a little over a month on September 8. All men of the parish (or from surrounding parishes) are invited to join with the group at any time. The format of the meetings is some general thoughts followed by a 30 minute video. We then break into small groups to discuss the video. While each week builds on previous material, each also stands independent of the others. We welcome anyone to come and see what we are about.
