Fall Campaign Calendar of Events
Kickoff Rally — Sunday, September 20, 1:00-2:00 PM at Planned Parenthood, 2314 Auburn Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio. We are excited to welcome Sue Thayer, National Director of Outreach for 40 Days for Life, as the featured speaker at our fall campaign Kickoff Rally. Sue was the former Planned Parenthood director in Storm Lake, Iowa, who was fired for speaking out against webcam abortions and then led 40 Days for Life campaigns in front of that same abortion facility. Learn of Sue’s transformation and be inspired and encouraged to join the fall 40 Days for Life prayer campaign by hearing her first-hand account of the good you can do for the babies by simply standing on the sidewalk in prayer. Parking is available at Holy Name Church, 2422 Auburn Avenue, Cincinnati, or on side streets. Social distancing and masks requested. You can sign up for vigil hours at the event.
Midpoint Prayer Vigil — Friday, October 16, 7:00-8:00 PM
Join us to mark the midpoint of the campaign. Be encouraged to continue your weekly public prayer witness here in front of Planned Parenthood and finish the second half of the campaign strong! If you have not been able to sign up for prayer hours to this point, there are still a little over two weeks of the campaign left and time to help us cover the remaining prayer hours and add to our number of participants. For this event, there is no sign up necessary. It is one of the few opportunities during the campaign when we can gather as one to pray for all of the intentions of the campaign – yours included. Bring candles, if you like.
Closing Day Prayer of Thanksgiving — Sunday, November 1, 3:00-4:00 PM
Come to celebrate the successful conclusion of the fall campaign with prayer and song. Fr. Jacob Willig will lead prayer and speak. You are welcome to share any experiences you had in the course of your prayer time at the vigil site throughout the campaign.
