Festival Volunteers Needed
Friday, June 14, 2019
Dear Fellow Parishioners,
St. Henry Catholic Church has had a summer festival for as long as any of us can remember. This year’s festival will take place on Friday, June 14 and Saturday, June 15. With the help of our long-standing, dedicated volunteers, this huge undertaking has always been a grand success. The core group of festival volunteers has done a fabulous job for many, many years – some as few as ten years, some more than 30 years. After all these years of dedicated service, the time has now come for a change in leadership. We need someone or a group of parishioners to step up and chair the festival for next year and beyond. Sadly, if no one steps up, 2019 will likely be the last festival for our parish.
Our festival provides a means for each and every member to share their time and talent with the parish. Whether you’ve served the festival in the past or have not had the wonderful opportunity to do so, won’t you please consider volunteering for this year’s festival? If everyone were to volunteer for just one shift, we would have far more volunteers than we actually need. And at what may be the last St. Henry Catholic Parish Festival, it is our hope that of the many parishioners who volunteer this summer, someone may be inspired to answer the call to lead us in the summer of 2020 and into the future.
Ready to Volunteer?
To volunteer, please contact one of our volunteer coordinators: Susan Bier, 859-282-1823, firstname.lastname@example.org; Ashley McClure, 859-240-5269, email@example.com; call the parish office, 859-727-2035, or click here. Not only will you be supporting our parish, but you will have the opportunity to meet new people and have fun, too!
Have you purchased raffle tickets?
At the close of our festival on Saturday, June 16, we will draw the Grand Raffle prize of $4,000, with four additional prizes of $500 each. The raffle has been a great success each year and we encourage all of our families to purchase or sell the five tickets which are $10 each. Purchased tickets can be dropped off or mailed to the parish office or dropped in the collection basket at Mass. Additional tickets can be requested by calling the parish office.
Any tickets turned in by May 24 will be entered into a drawing for a $100 gift card!
Please prayerfully consider stepping up to continue our festival tradition. The current team would be more than happy to show you the ropes at this year’s festival.
